Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children

At the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children (HKSPC), protection means far more than being free from physical threats or abuse. We protect and safeguard childrens rights for whole-person development. It has always been the HKSPCs mission to build a healthy, happy and safe environment for children from all backgrounds.

The HKSPC has been committed to nurturing children in their early development since 1926. As one of the most established organizations in our field, the HKSPC currently operates 27 service units aiding children from birth to the age 16. We cater especially for the needs of families with working and single parents, low-income families, CSSA families, new arrival families and families from ethnic minorities. We are proud to serve as many as 3,000 children and their families every day.

Hong Kong Golf Association Junior Program

HKGA has been running a Junior Programme for a number of years.  The HKGA Junior Programme serves as a feeder to the Hong Kong National Team.  Over the years we have some remarkable golfers emerged from the Junior Programme such as Tiffany Chan and Leon D’Souza, just to name a few.  Some have already turned professional as player or coach.

Historically the program provides weekly training on driving range, on-course, and physical training to squad members. Now the program has been enhanced to include all-round training. Apart from physical and regular practice, the program also provides psychology, rules and nutrition sessions.

The Junior Program is designed to increase the junior squad’s participation and help them to develop and move to next level by providing a fun, accessible, satisfy and competitive environment.

Each year HKGA holds Junior Golfers Talent Identification Day to identify talented young golfers to join the Junior Program. Some outstanding golfers who achieved good results in local/overseas tournaments may also be invited to this program. Currently there are over 70 junior players in the program.
